1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham in triple black

Here is my 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham in triple black. I’ve had it for about 10 months and it has around 67500 original miles. It’s fully loaded with every option including moonroof and factory CD player (still not standard in 1996). It also has the gold emblem package. which really contrasts with the rest of the car. I got it from a dealership in the Chicago area after looking for this specific color combination and year for quite a while. This car is undoubtedly the best I’ve ever owned. The Chevrolet-sourced LT1 requires so little effort to accelerate that the pedal feel seems at odds with the vague handling and cushy, soft ride. It absolutely floats over broken NYC streets and irons out almost every imperfection in the road. It comes off even better on the highway, where you absolutely cannot feel the road. The steering sort of firms up at higher speeds but it’s still really, really light. The interior has enough room for six regular-sized Americans, something I enjoy even though I rarely have more than one person in the car at a time. I’m sure this would please Al Gore. Sometimes people find it amusing that I’m 24 and drive an “old man” car, until they ride in it. Then they usually fall asleep on the soft Brougham seats (which still smell new by the way). It’s a shame that GM doesn’t build anything remotely close to this anymore and probably never will again. Someone needs to send them the memo that there is still a market for a full-size, rear-wheel drive

  1. Bro, your car is awesome. I just put a down payment on a 95 today! Is the wood steering wheel factory? What model rims are those? They look really good on her.

  2. Wow. Nice Fleetwood. Back in the 80’s I drove Fleetwood Broughams for my Limo business in New York. I never had muscle cars when I was young man. I drove Cadillacs. My girlfriends never complained. They had a soft cushy ride, big back seat and a lighted vanity mirror to do their makeup. You have a nice color combination. Triple black is bad ass. I am looking for a Fleetwood like yours. Its a Black Beauty. Good Luck with it.

  3. Very very nice 96 FB! Since you also have a 96 DeVille with the Northstar could you please compare/contrast the LT1 vs Northstar. I am looking at a 96 FB myself as I love these!

  4. Car looks good and I know how you feel cuz I’m 24 with a 94 Fleetwood and I get the looks and questions too. I thank my boy everyday for putting me on to Big Bodies cuz all I ever liked before was Nissan/Infiniti (I still do too lol) but I got A LOT of respect for domestics now. Now I wanna Roadmaster too

  5. Nice Cadillac. I would take a fleetwood over any other new car out here 2 day. My first car was a 89 fleetwood my second car was a 94 fleetwood my 3rd car is a 91 caprice in now I’m looking at a 96 fleetwood.

  6. I saw the same options today on a mint 95 or a 96 (Fold-able mirrors) Triple black WITH a sunroof. The car like yours was immaculate. After owning other B bodies (Impala SS and A wagon) I need a fleet wood to add to the collection! One day ill find a nice one

  7. Does anyone know where I can buy one of these, does not have to be this color. But same year and model. I live in jacksonville, fl.

  8. I got a 93 that was 73000 low miles but I blew the engine in it. Fellas make sure ur radiator cap is good, but I do love that black on black. I think Im going to paint mine just like that

  9. Dam, this car is clean as shit. much bigger than the devilles. i got a 04. rides like its on a cloud

  10. One of the nicest presentations I have seen. I had mine since close to when she was born in Arlington and have wanted to get her a new dress.I want to go black, but had not found a shade I liked until “Diamond Black” this year. I think I shall go to a slightly lighter vinyl; A little more gray as my intrior is dark blue. And no gold. The stainless and chrome are good for me.

My one extravagance will be minor tweaks to the bumpers. On the front and rear I shall be adding Dagmars.

    Thanx!
